Boxmaking & Paper Engineering

We produce many types of boxes and slipcases in-house. We can also advise on various production and finishing methods and can help with the design and functionality of complex packaging products.

Essex Bookbinders are a proud partner of Schmedt, a world leading manufacturer of bookbinding equipment based in Germany. We not only use Schmedt products in our workshop, we also offer free product support and demonstrations on their hand bookbinding equipment, such as the PräGnant Blocking Press, Schärffix Leather Paring Machine and Edge Gilding Roller. We also stock a number of spare parts here in the UK which can be purchased directly from us.

Printing/print management

Short to medium runs of books, brochures, business cards, reports, dissertations, etc. are printed in-house. For larger print-runs and promotional items we have an established and reliable network of partners.
